[#wellbeing + #Easter] ✨ I have heard it only happens three times in a century: having Easter, Passover and Ramadan all at the same time (!). ✨
And since today itself is #EasterSunday, I’ll share that I recently discussed this question with some colleagues of the #REEBN and friends:
What does ‘Easter' mean to you?
The replies from those around the world included ‘holiday', ‘abstaining’, ‘Easter egg hunts’, 'time off school’, ’nieces and nephews’, and 'the resurrection of Jesus Christ’.
The range of responses shows how, no matter whether you celebrate a religious tradition or not, our lives are often still shaped and influenced by these observances.
So here's wishing an extra special #HappyEaster to those observing - especially Colleta Macharia, Marjon Meyer, Mary Jean Dureza, and all my #Christian #friends and #family - you are top of mind today. 💛🌿
💬 I’m curious - how do you celebrate Easter, if you do? What is it like in your country, school, or community? Does the word have a special meaning for you?
P.S. For me, one food-related highlight is that Spinneys, a supermarket in #Dubai is now stocked up on one of my favourite seasonal treats:
🥚+🍫=Cadbury’s Mini Eggs. 😍
(I am likely responsible for a large number of purchases of this item. Alas, I’ve tried to get them to stock all year round - to no avail.)
P.P.S. Still reading? I loved finding out that a bakery in Karachi, Pakistan, sells these extra special hot cross buns for just 4-5 days a year specially over Easter. They are so popular! Check out this lovely video by @mystapaki on Instagram, if you’re curious like I was:
