[#teacherĀ appreciation] I came across some mystical words today and thought they were beautiful. So, even though they are typically read from a spiritual stance, I share them here as an appreciative nod to teachers, of all kinds. The words are attributed to #Hafez, a celebrated Persian mystic poet from the 14th century, known for his profound insights in to love, spirituality, and the human condition.
People travelled from all over to learn from him, just like students come from far and wide to be under the wings of their teachers.
He writes:
"How did the rose
ever open its heart
and give to this world
all of its beauty?
It felt the encouragement of light
against its being. Otherwise,
we all remain too frightened."

Teachers: you are some of the best people on our planet for being an encouraging light.
Have you ever had a teacher, or even a person in your life, who stopped you from being frightened?
Here's to those ones.
And here's to you all.
Happy Teachers Day. š±š
